I’m a lucky gal. Sure, I spend every second of every day in a butt load of pain, and sure, there are days – even weeks at a time that I can’t work because of my pain, but I’m still lucky. For many reasons, but the one I’m talking about at the moment is the tidal wave of story ideas that has washed over me lately.
You may or may not know this, but I keep a file of notes for future novels. It’s called Notes for Future Novels. Clever, huh? Well this file has always been big, but lately, it’s nearly doubled in size. Idea after idea has just popped into my head, all brilliant ideas that NEED to be written. Problem is, I’m just one person. Not even my wicked mad typing skills can save me.
I hear of writers who suffer from writer’s block. They don’t have the ideas or the inspiration it takes to write. I feel for them, but their problems make me realize how lucky I am. If I live to be a hundred, I’ll still have a huge file full of unwritten stories because for every one I write, I have ideas for four more. And I love it! I wouldn’t have it any other way.
So what about you? Are you suffering from a lack of ideas or a flood of them?
